For the 13th consecutive year, San Francisco was voted the nation’s favorite city in one of the travel industry’s top awards. While those polled by Conde Nast Traveler didn’t mention anything about cable cars, they did give high marks to The City in terms of ambience, friendliness, culture, restaurants, lodging and shopping. Among cities worldwide, voters placed San Francisco second only to Sydney, Australia.
San Francisco beat out Santa Fe, N.M., Charleston, S.C., New York and Chicago for the top honor. Laurie Armstrong, a vice president with the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau, said an additional quality probably put The City over the top — the OISF, or “only in San Francisco” factor.
“It’s good to be San Francisco,” Armstrong said. “We found in research that we’ve done that people really like the scenic quality of The City, the cultural diversity, the restaurants and then there’s that ‘only in San Francisco’ quality. People love the fact that quirky things happen here.”

and Amy says I have too much time on my hands? I think the jello model of SF proves once and for all that I don't, the jello lady tops that list. ;)
