Who dey? Please.

Whoa, what a weekend.

Friday night was pretty low key and I did some shopping. On Saturday, Chris and his rents came up and I showed them around. Chris really wanted to see the Golden Gate Bridge, so we walked far, to see the bridge covered in fog. But, I did get a nice view of it after they left and I was heading back to my place. Figures.

Saturday night I went to a club in SoMa to celebrate my friend Amy's birthday. The DJ there saved my life. We danced, danced, danced and every boy here dances like Nate, I love it! And every time some weird guy tried to dance with us, we'd push him away and say that's my girlfriend. Afterwards we hit up Mel's Diner. I finally got home around 4am and tried to be super quiet as hilarious friends are in town for the weekend and I still ended up walking into the desk in the hallway and making a lot of noise. Figures.

After about 5 hours of sleep, I rolled out of bed, showered and headed to my local watering hole to catch the game. Before the game started, they played "Here We Go Steelers" and there was this idiot outside decked in full bungles gear with a bungles flags waving it around outside the bar. If that wasn't enough, his dog was wearing a jersey too. Poor dog.

The atmosphere was amazing even if I had the Sunday ticket, I would still go there. Any bar that lets girls dance on the bar after a win with Terrible Towels to "Here We Go" is good in my book. And no, I wasn't dancing on the bar. We really needed that win. Now people can stop talking about how "good" the bungles are. We are the team to beat in the AFC north. And what was with all those calls the refs were making? Especially the "taunting" call on Hines? Please. Because he spiked the ball and motioned for a first down? It was kinda funny watching Cowher telling Hines to calm down without yelling.

This whole get up early on Sunday thing really messes up my day. Having beers for breakfast kinda ruins my productivity for the rest of the day. At least on the east coast you can get stuff done before the game. Julie nervous + football = drinking more beers than she should. Throw in some shots of yager, well you get the picture. I took a nice 3 hour nap afterwards. Thank goodness the next game is on a Monday night. I'll be hightailing it out of work to make it back before 6. Bring on the ravens.

That was the one part of the game I saw, Cowher going "Hines! Calm down!" heehee. That was funny. The rest of my afternoon was of course, dedicated to the race and gnawing my nails off and watching Jeff win :)
