I am absolutely infatuated with the Dockers commercial...you know, the one where the guy and girl see each other on the Embarcadero, jump off their respective trolleys and then see each other across the tracks? Its always on during football games. Kevin and I always look at each other and go, "Yeah, right. That happens to me all the time."
Its sappy, but I love it. And I find it ironic that it was filmed across the street from that headquarters of that "other" pant maker, Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic. I like the song too, "Don't Wait Too Long" by Madeline Peyroux.
Anyhow, back to the point I am trying to make. Meeting guys of the single straight variety. How DO you get out there in a new city? My plans include joining a gym, but I doubt I look very attractive doing tricep dips and the last thing I want to do is give some guy my number when I'm trying to get through my last set. I'm branching out socially, but that takes time. Has anyone really done that? Seen a total hottie on public transportation and introduced themselves? Scary, I'm confident, but not that confident. It feels so weird and too "Sex and the City" to do so. But, I guess that's something to ponder the next time I'm on the 47/49.

hmm, never seen that dockers commercial. My favorite commercials are only on during nascar races. "I'm at the wrong track!" Oh that one gets me every time. I heart Mikey. ;)
So, I totally just saw that commercial. I've decided it'd be awesome if it happened to me, but it NEVER happens...EVER. OH! We should totally re-enact it when I get to SF!
